The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has recognized Venture Construction Group (VCG) as a Weather-Ready Nation (WRN) Ambassador™. The WRN Ambassador initiative is an effort to formally recognize NOAA partners who are improving the nation’s readiness against extreme weather, water and climate events. As a WRN Ambassador, VCG commits to working with the NOAA and other WRN Ambassadors to strengthen national resilience against extreme weather.

“We are proud of this recognition and the important work we are doing to equip others to take action and become weather-ready,” said Stephen Shanton, CEO and President of Venture Construction Group (VCG).

The WRN program’s purpose is to prepare local communities for extreme weather and disaster events. As part of the WRN initiative, NOAA, along with partners such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), wants to motivate individuals and communities to take action that will prepare them in the event of a disaster and to share preparedness steps with others. Learn more about the WRN initiative at www.weather.gov/wrn.

As a WRN Ambassador, VCG will continue to promote preparedness messages and themes to our clients; collaborate with NOAA on events and outreach opportunities; share success stories of preparedness and resiliency; provide weather monitoring; and serve as a change agent and leader in partnership with NOAA.
